    Last farewell ceremony with legendary Slovak football forward Jozef Adamec was held on January 4, 2019, in Trnava, Slovakia. Adamec, a silver medallist from the World Cup in Chile in 1962, died at the age of 76 years on December 24, 2018. After he ended his career of a professional player, Adamec was a successful football coach. In the Czechoslovak League, he played 383 matches and with 170 goals, he is the 10th in the Czechoslovak all-time top-scorers standings. He played 44 times in the Czechoslovak national football team, scoring 14 goals. He participated in the 1962 FIFA World Cup and the 1970 World Cup.
