    凌家灘遺跡の紅焼土堆積、大規模な公共建築遺構の可能性

    5日、凌家灘遺跡の紅焼土堆積区域で出土した紅焼土の塊。中国安徽省馬鞍山(ばあんざん)市含山(がんざん)県にある新石器時代後期の集落遺跡「凌家灘(りょうかたん)遺跡」では、粘土を焼いて作った「紅焼土」の大規模な堆積区域の発掘が進み、区域の全貌が明らかになりつつある。これまでに得られた情報に基づけば、大規模な公共建築物の遺構の可能性がある。凌家灘遺跡は約5800~5300年前の中心集落遺跡とされ、発掘と研究は中国文明のルーツを探る国家プロジェクト「中華文明探源プロジェクト」の重要要素の一つとなっている。中国で最も早く文明社会に移行した代表的な場所の一つともされており、中国文明の起源と形成過程におけるシンボル的地位を備えている。(合肥=新華社記者/馬姝瑞)=2020(令和2)年12月5日、クレジット:新華社/共同通信イメージズ

    稲作の起源は中国の上山文化専門家が確認

    13日、浦江県の上山考古遺跡公園で展示されているもみ殻が混ざった焼けた土の塊。中国浙江省金華市で14日閉幕した「上山遺跡発見20周年学術シンポジウム」で、約1万年前の上山文化が世界の稲作文化の起源であることが確認された。上山遺跡は2000年、同市浦江県で発見された。8600年~1万1400年前の遺跡で、約1万年前の炭化したイネが出土している。同遺跡に属する文化は2006年、正式に上山文化と命名された。遺跡の発掘調査を指揮した浙江省文物考古研究所の蒋楽平(しょう・がくへい)研究員によると、上山文化に属する遺跡はこれまで19カ所見つかり、早期稲作が行われていたことを示す証拠も数多く出土したという。(浦江=新華社記者/韓伝号)=2020(令和2)年11月13日、クレジット:新華社/共同通信イメージズ

    「新華社」雲南省で新石器~明清時代まで続いた集落遺跡を発掘

    中国の雲南省文物考古研究所は26日、臨滄市文物管理所などと共同で実施した芒嘎(ぼうかつ)遺跡の考古学発掘調査が、このほど完了したと明らかにした。遺跡からは、溝や墓葬、灰坑などの遺構128カ所、石器や土器、陶器、青銅器などの遺物約1500点(組)が出土した。同遺跡は雲南省臨滄市耿馬(こうま)タイ族ワ族自治県の勐簡(もうかん)郷にある。大きさは東西約530メートル、南北約220メートルで、総面積約11万平方メートル。今回は付近の高速道路建設に伴う発掘調査となり、97のグリッド(区画)に分けた9600平方メートルで実施した。雲南省文物考古研究所の胡長城(こ・ちょうじょう)副研究員は「遺跡は川辺の台地にあり、新石器時代から明清時代まで集落として使われた。継続時間が長く、出土遺物の形状もさまざまで、遺跡の類型も多い。南汀河(なんていが)流域、さらには雲南省南西部の民族や文化、歴史を研究する上で重要な価値がある」と語った。(記者/孫敏、厳勇)<映像内容>芒嘎遺跡の発掘調査の様子、撮影日:2020(令和2)年9月26日、クレジット:新華社/共同通信イメージズ

    「新華社」時間との闘い北石窟寺の風化防止に向けた取り組み

    中国甘粛省慶陽市の北石窟寺には、黄色砂岩に彫られた石窟群がある。中国の中小石窟の典型とされるが、造営から1500年以上が経ち、雨水の浸透や風化・浸食が進み、国が対策に取り組んでいる。秋雨の中、取材に訪れると、北石窟寺文物保護研究所の呉正科(ご・せいか)所長が傘を差しながら各石窟を回り、落砂を量るため仏像の前に置かれたステンレス製の容器を確認していた。「石窟保護の基礎データとするため、壁面の含水量や風化の程度、害虫、落砂量を定期的に調べている」と説明してくれた。石像頭部を覆うコケ、風化してぼやけた顔、失われた手足…。同寺では千年の石像が「生存」の危機に直面している。北石窟寺は、南北朝時代の北魏の永平2年(509年)に造営が始まり、その後の西魏や北周、隋、唐の各王朝でも拡張された。現在は大小296の洞窟と龕(がん、仏像を納めるために彫られた岩壁のくぼみ)に仏像2126体が残る。呉氏によると、砂岩質の文化財の風化防止は世界的な難題だという。特に同寺は地下水が豊富な地盤の上にあり、降雨量も多いことから、石窟の保護で大きな課題を抱えている。晩唐期に開削された267号窟に入ると、長年の雨風の浸食により全体がコケに覆われ、顔の輪郭もはっきりしない仏像が目に留まった。砂岩に含まれる可溶性塩類が、浸透した雨水の蒸発後に表面に浮き出て白い結晶となっている。「ひどい時には仏像の割れ目から水が流れでることもある」と呉氏は語る。一部の石窟では風化により仏像の顔が固まりで落下していた。呉氏は「効果的な措置を取らなければ、来年には変わり果てた姿になってしまう」と風化の激しい仏像を指し、危機感を募らせる。同寺はここ数年、甘粛省の文化財保護活動の重点となっている。2017年には石窟の調査と管理、保護を強化するため、莫高窟(ばっこうくつ)で有名な敦煌研究院が同寺の管理を行うことになった。(記者/文静、梁軍、任延昕<映像内容>北石窟寺の風景、撮影日:撮影日不明、クレジット:新華社/共同通信イメージズ

    「新華社」雲岡石窟の3Dレプリカ、浙江大学で初公開

    中国浙江省杭州市の浙江大学で12日、山西省にある世界遺産「雲岡石窟」の洞窟の一つを3Dプリンターで再現したレプリカの組み立てが完成した。3Dプリンターによる移動可能な原寸大の洞窟レプリカは世界で初めてだという。高精度デジタル技術と3Dプリント技術で制作された同レプリカは、「音楽窟」とも呼ばれる雲岡石窟第12窟の前殿後室を再現。洞窟の形状や精巧で美しい彫像はもちろん、長い年月で風化した細かな傷までが正確に表現されている。雲岡石窟の「音楽窟」の深さは14メートルで、幅11メートル、高さ9メートル。5世紀に開削され、内部には天空の伎楽や中国内外の楽器が彫刻されている。中国最古の「宮廷交響楽団」といわれており、中国の音楽・舞踊史において重要な位置を占める。浙江大学文化遺産研究院と雲岡石窟研究院の共同プロジェクトチームは、2016年からデータの収集と処理、構造設計、パーツのプリントや着色などの作業を進め、数々の技術的な問題を克服してきた。洞窟のデジタルデータの精度は0・03ミリで、完成したレプリカの誤差は2ミリ未満、色彩再現度は95%以上となっている。同レプリカは、2メートル平方のブロック110個を6層に分けて積み上げている。ブロックは軽量素材で作られており総重量は約2トン。標準コンテナ8台に積載し輸送することができ、組み立てには1週間を要する。杭州で完成披露展示会を行った後、世界各地で巡回展を行うという。(記者/朱涵、李濤)<映像内容>雲岡石窟の3Dレプリカが公開、撮影日:2020(令和2)年6月12日、クレジット:新華社/共同通信イメージズ

    伝統的な鍛造技術が生み出すミャオ族の銀細工湖南省鳳凰県
