    自宅の竹林で「篾鶏蛋」の材料になる竹を選定するコーラオ族の竹細工職人、申修傑さん。(2020年12月31日撮影)「篾鶏蛋(べつけいたん、薄く裂いた竹ひごで編んだボール)」は、中国貴州省に住む少数民族のコーラオ族に広く伝わる伝統的なスポーツで使われる道具で、同省の第2次省級無形文化遺産に登録されている。薄く裂いた竹ひごを使い、こぶしほどの大きさに編んで作り、中の空洞には小石や大豆を入れる。ヘディングをしたり、足で蹴ったり、手で投げたりして遊ぶ。平らな空き地さえあれば老若男女問わず遊べる。同省務川コーラオ族ミャオ族自治県大坪街道竜潭村に住むコーラオ族のお年寄り、申修傑(しん・しゅうけつ)さんは小寒に当たるこの時期に「篾鶏蛋」を編んだ。幼い頃を思い返すと、「篾鶏蛋」はただ遊ぶだけでなく、寒い季節に体を動かして温まるという効果もあった。今では「篾鶏蛋」は当地の学校で民族スポーツとしてカリキュラムに取り入れられている。(貴陽=新華社配信/田成)= 配信日: 2021(令和3)年1月9日、クレジット:新華社/共同通信イメージズ

    「新華社」無形文化遺産の伝承者、石刻画で冬季五輪を祝福河北省張家口市

    十坪住宅を本格修復へ

    ゆいの会が修復を本格化させる「徳島路太利」。屋根は傷みが激しく、シートで覆われている。瀬戸内市の国立ハンセン病療養所・長島愛生園などで活動する「ハンセンボランティア『ゆいの会』」は4月から、園内にある入所者向け小規模住宅「十坪住宅」1棟の修復作業を本格化させる。国民の寄付で建てられ、隔離政策を支えた象徴的な建造物。療養所の世界文化遺産登録を目指す中、老朽化した屋根や壁などを今秋までに補修し、歴史を伝える施設としての活用を目指す。十坪住宅は面積約10坪(33平方メートル)。療養所の環境整備が不十分だった戦前を中心に約150棟が建てられた。ピーク時は入所者の約3分の2に当たる約1300人が暮らしたとされ、現存するのは5棟だけ。同会は2015年から保存運動を展開してきた。修復するのは1938年ごろに建てられ、寄付者の関係から「徳島路太利」と名付けられた建物。建築当時の図面が残されていた。比較的原形をとどめてはいるものの、屋根には雨漏り防止のシートが張られ、土壁の一部が崩れるなどしている。同会は改修費ねん出のため街頭募金などで協力を呼び掛け、昨年12月までで約640万円が集まった。=2020(令和2)年1月15日、岡山県瀬戸内市、クレジット:山陽新聞/共同通信イメージズ
