July 16, 2024, Milan, Italy: People visit the press preview of the exhibition ‘‘Valerio Adami, il pittore di idee‘ (Valerio Adami, the ‘painter of ideas ‘‘) at the Palazzo RealeMilan, 16 July 2024. Since the mid-1960s, Adami‘s painting has been unmistakable thanks to the encounter between those distinctive signs of pop art - the black line, the bright and flat colours, the urban subjects - and the constant reference to tradition and classicism, in an era in which Abstractionism, Arte Povera and Conceptual art prevailed.
