Lors du rapprochement des plaques iberique et europeenne, creant ainsi la chaine des Pyrenees, les roches sedimentaires se sont plissees puis cassees. Lââ¬â¢ordre des couches geologiques est inverse..the Pech de Bugarach, the highest point of the Corbieres and has the particularity of being formed by an anticlinal fold, totally opposite. When the Iberian and European plates came together, thus creating the Pyrenees chain, the sedimentary rocks folded and then broke. The order of the geological layers is reversed.
