2019年08月21日たこ焼き調理ロボ（右）とビールサーブロボ（左）東京都は２１日、東京都港区の竹芝客船ターミナルで調理や警備などを担うロボットの実証実験を始めた。東急不動産や鹿島が竹芝地区のエリアマネジメントとして実施するイベント「第５回竹芝夏ふぇす」において公募で選定した７種類のロボの導入効果を検証する。労働力の確保といった東京都の課題についてロボにより解決する姿を国内外にアピールする狙いもある。実証は２３日まで。人に追従する運搬ロボットや、たこ焼きの調理やビールサーブを担うロボット、通行人に声をかけるロボット、警備ロボットなどが参加した。東急不動産や鹿島は竹芝地区で先端技術を取り入れたスマートシティー（次世代型環境都市）の開発を進めている。その一環として、地域住民や近隣の就業者向けに音楽ライブや飲食空間の提供などを行う竹芝夏ふぇすをロボ実証の場として提供した。東急不動産都市事業本部ビル運営事業部事業企画グループの田中敦典グループリーダーは「３―５年後、町に実装されるロボットが集まった。（竹芝夏ふぇすが）人間とロボットの共生の可能性を示す場になれば」と期待した。＝２０１９（令和元）年８月２１日、東京都港区の竹芝客船ターミナル、クレジット：日刊工業新聞／共同通信イメージズ

2020年11月20日「公共冷蔵庫」スタート 岡山で国内初運用が始まった「北長瀬コミュニティフリッジ」。個人や企業が寄付した食料品や日用品を、必要とする人がいつでも無料で受け取れる「コミュニティフリッジ（公共冷蔵庫）」が、複合商業施設・ブランチ岡山北長瀬（岡山市北区北長瀬表町）に開設され、２０日、正式運用が始まった。新型コロナウイルスの影響などで困窮している親子や学生を支援しようと、岡山市の民間団体が企画した。国内での本格的な取り組みは初という。まちづくりの一般社団法人・北長瀬エリアマネジメントの事業。「北長瀬コミュニティフリッジ」と名付け、同施設の立体駐車場近くにある倉庫に冷蔵庫・冷凍庫各１台と棚を設置した。活動に賛同するスーパーや企業、飲食店、個人から寄付される生鮮品、冷凍食品、カップ麺、菓子、洗剤、トイレットペーパーなどを置く。倉庫は無人運用としており、物資を必要とする人は２４時間いつでも人目を気にせず受け取れる。＝２０２０（令和２）年１１月２０日、岡山市北区北長瀬表町、クレジット：山陽新聞／共同通信イメージズ

2021年11月19日北長瀬コミュニティフリッジ寄付された食料品や日用品が並ぶ北長瀬コミュニティフリッジ。個人や企業が寄付した食料品・日用品を、必要としている人がいつでも無料で受け取れる「北長瀬コミュニティフリッジ（公共冷蔵庫）」＝岡山市北区北長瀬表町＝が２０日、開設１年を迎えた。民間団体の取り組みで、子育て家庭など約４００世帯が利用登録。物品提供の申し込みは当初は５０件ほどだったのが、８５０件を超えるまでになった。新型コロナウイルス禍を機に生まれた生活支援の仕組みは着実に地域で根付き、支え合いの輪を広げている。本格運用は全国初という公共冷蔵庫は、まちづくりの一般社団法人・北長瀬エリアマネジメント（同市）が運営する。＝２０２１（令和３）年１１月１９日、岡山県岡山市北区北長瀬表町、クレジット：山陽新聞／共同通信イメージズ
