Palestinian factions in Gaza join rally against Israeli annexation plans

January 1, 2000: Gaza, Palestine. 01 July 2020. Palestinians from different political factions inside the Gaza Strip join a mass rally in Gaza City to mark ‘the day of rage’ in protest against Israel’s annexation plans and the US President’s ‘‘deal of the century‘‘. The march, which has been organised by the national and Islamic forces and factions in Gaza and was attended by Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip Yahya Sinwar, is part of an agreement on a unified national plan of action to confront the the “deal of the century†and the Israeli decision of annexation of approximately 30% of land in the West Bank. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has recently announced his government’s plans to annex large parts of the West Bank, despite its illegality in international law. Key bodies including the United Nations and the European Union have condemned the move (Credit Image: © Ahmad Hasaballah/IMAGESLIVE via ZUMA Wire)、クレジット:©Ahmad Hasaballah/IMAGESLIVE via ZUMA Wire/共同通信イメージズ

Scouts rally against land annexation in Gaza, Palestine

January 1, 2000: Gaza, Palestine. 24 June 2020. Different groups of the local scout association attend a rally in Gaza City to reject the Israeli government’s plan to annex parts of the West Bank. Israeli prime Minister Netanyahu, backed by US president Trump, is planning to confiscate territories in the West Bank containing Israeli settlements as well as the Jordan valley, incorporating up to 30% of the Palestinian territories into Israel. The plan on land annexation has been opposed by more than 1,000 parliamentarians from across Europe, who have signed a letter strongly condemning the move on the basis that it goes again the principles of International law and undermines any prospect of peace in the region. Today’s rally in Gaza City was organised by the Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas in collaboration with the Scout association in the Gaza Strip (Credit Image: © Ahmad Hasaballah/IMAGESLIVE via ZUMA Wire)、クレジット:©Ahmad Hasaballah/IMAGESLIVE via ZUMA Wire/共同通信イメージズ
