NASA‘s Clipper Europa Ocean Moon Mission

August 16, 2022 - USA - Europa Clipper‘s SUrface Dust Analyzer (SUDA) sensor head is shown in a clean room at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) at the University of Colorado Boulder. Tiny meteorites eject bits of Europa‘s surface into space and a subsurface ocean or in-ice water reservoirs might vent material into space as plumes. To study this, SUDA will scoop up larger particles from these plumes and identify their chemistry, revealing Europa‘s surface composition including potential organic molecules. SUDA can detect salts in the dust and ice grains, providing additional information about a subsurface ocean. If a subsurface ocean or reservoir is venting material into space as plumes, SUDA will help us to determine if Europa‘s water is suitable for some form of life (Credit Image: © JPL-Caltech/NASA/ZUMA Press Wire Service/ZUMAPRESS.com)、クレジット:©JPL-Caltech/NASA/ZUMA Press Wire Service/ZUMAPRESS.com/共同通信イメージズ

June 7, 2022 - USA - An electrical engineer is shown making an electrical connection to the electronics within Europa Clipper‘s SUrface Dust Analyzer (SUDA) senor head. The sensor head is shown in a clean room at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) at the University of Colorado Boulder. These electronics amplify signals from SUDA‘s charge sensing electrodes, which are used to determine the size, charge, and speed of incoming dust particles. Computer Games Fan Creates His Own Console Out Of Cardboard

July 20, 2022, Boulder, Colorado, United States: VIDEO AVAILABLE: CONTACT INFO@COVERMG.COM TO RECEIVE**..Peter Gyory, a game designer who is a doctoral student at the University of Colorado, Boulderââ¬â¢s ATLAS Institute spent his COVID-19 lockdown created his very own games console out of cardboard..His Tinycade, which he created with colleagues at ATLAS allows anyone, anywhere to make a working arcade machine that can fit on a kitchen table or even a TV tray. All you need are a smartphone, some cardboard, two small mirrors and bric-a-brac like rubber bands and toothpicks. In other words: junk.. .ââ¬ÅI was really frustrated that I couldnââ¬â¢t make games,ââ¬Â said Gyory, a doctoral student at CU Boulderââ¬â¢s ATLAS Institute. ââ¬ÅI realised I was surrounded by cardboard. I thought: ââ¬ËHow could I make a game out of that?ââ¬Â.Explaining the limitations he put on his project, Gyory adds: ââ¬ÅThe restriction I gave myself was that if you couldnââ¬â¢t go to the grocery store and buy it, I couldnâ...
