    July 17, 1987, Comfort, Texas, USA: Campers are driven away after being rescued. Floodwaters claimed the lives of 10 kids attending a church camp, these were some of the lucky 33 survivors. They were all on a Seagoville Road Baptist Church bus from Balch Springs, which was swamped by floodwaters, after leaving the Pot O‘ Gold Ranch. Dallas area children were trapped when a bus and a van stalled in rising water from the Guadalupe River in the Hill Country town of Comfort. Evacuated by the National Guard. First responders and rescue teams converged on the scene where the church bus was swept into the Guadalupe River near Comfort today.
