2015年02月18日Sand extraction in the Niger River: In Bamako, MaliFebruary 18, 2015, Bamako, Koulikoro, Mali / Afrique de l‘Ouest : Bamako is currently experiencing the largest urban growth in Africa and the sixth largest in the world. Its population has increased more than tenfold in half a century, from 130,000 in 1960 to 1,800,000 in 2009. It is estimated that between 2,500,000 and 3,000,000 people live in Bamako today. They fill buckets which are brought to the surface and then poured into pinasses, wooden boats with a capacity of 2 to 3 m³. In Kala...

Its population has increased more than tenfold in half a century, from 130,000 in 1960 to 1,800,000 in 2009. It is estimated that between 2,500,000 and 3,000,000 people live in Bamako today. 2016年05月02日The Niger River In The Malian Capital, Bamako.May 2, 2016, Bamako, Bamako District, Mali: Posters reading ‘‘I am the Niger River‘‘ were pasted on a road sign facing the river in Bamako, Mali, on May 2, 2016. The Niger River has been seriously threatened by pollution in recent years, and the Malian government has struggled to enforce its protection. Therefore, associations are mobilizing and initiatives are multiplying to protect the river, one of the major threats being the pollution of its waters by human activities (Credit Image: © Nicolas Remene/Le Pictorium Agency via ZUMA Press)、クレジット:©Nicolas Remene/Le Pictorium via ZUMA Press/共同通信イメージズ ※Belgium, France and Russian Rights OUT

2016年05月02日The Niger River In The Malian Capital, Bamako.May 2, 2016, Bamako, Bamako District, Mali: A poster reading ‘‘I am the Niger River‘‘ was pasted on a road sign at a roundabout near the BCEAO tower in Bamako, Mali, on May 2, 2016. The Niger River has been seriously threatened by pollution in recent years, and the Malian government has struggled to enforce its protection. As a result, associations are mobilizing and initiatives are multiplying to protect the river, with one of the major threats being the pollution of its waters by human activities (Credit Image: © Nicolas Remene/Le Pictorium Agency via ZUMA Press)、クレジット:©Nicolas Remene/Le Pictorium via ZUMA Press/共同通信イメージズ ※Belgium, France and Russian Rights OUT
