    「新華社」知る人ぞ知るホータンの「バラのバザール」新疆ウイグル自治区

    中国新疆ウイグル自治区南部のホータン(和田)地区では毎年5月のバラの花の盛りの時期に、「バラのバザール」が開かれる。同地域で栽培される食用バラの加工、販売専門市で、地元の人々が集まり、栽培農家がバラの花を販売、業者はバラのジャムを作る。バラのジャム作りはこの時期にだけ行われ、地元では飛ぶように売れる。ナンとの相性が良く、地元の特産品となっている。地元で主に栽培されているホータン砂漠バラは、古代シルクロードから入ってきたダマスクローズの変種で、地元では千年以上の栽培の歴史がある。このバラは日光を好み乾燥にも強く、柔らかく肥沃な土壌が生長に適している。ホータンのバラは色鮮やかで香りが良いだけでなく、伝統的なバラ茶やジャムなどの食品以外に、エッセンシャルオイルやフェイシャルパックなど化粧品にも加工されている。現在は同地区の6万1千ムー(約4千ヘクタール)で栽培されており、1ムー当たりの生産額は年間5千~6千元(1元=約15円)だという。(記者/張嘯誠、張鍾凱、趙戈、関俏俏)<映像内容>食用バラの加工、販売の様子、撮影日:撮影日不明、クレジット:新華社/共同通信イメージズ
