    Kurt Wuthrich (born 1938), Swiss chemist. Wuthrich is Professor of biophysics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zurich, Switzerland, and visiting professor of structural biology at the Scripps Research Institute, California, USA. In 2002 he shared the Nobel Prize in chemistry with John B. Fenn and Koichi Tanaka. Wuthrich developed the use of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy as a means for studying the three-dimensional structure of biological macromolecules, such as proteins.
