    October 6, 2021, New Hyde Park, New York, United States: Dr. Andrew Adesman receives COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine booster at Teaching Center LIJ Medical Center. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) on September 23, 2021 authorized the distribution of Pfizer-BioNTech booster shots to people age 65 plus, as well as those in the 18-64 bracket with underlying and/or immuno-compromised conditions.
