2020年09月07日渋谷工業とスディックスバイオがPCR検査装置開発で会見渋谷工業はスディックスバイオテック(鹿児島市)と共同で、一つの唾液検体から新型コロナウイルスとインフルエンザウイルスA型・B型の感染を15分程度で診断できる世界初のPCR検査装置を開発し、年内をめどに発売する。価格は未定だが「開業医でも購入できる」(隅田泰生スディックスバイオテック社長)200万円以下を目指し、初年度は数百台の販売を見込む。スディックスバイオテックは鹿児島大学発のベンチャーで、唾液から検体を採取する独自のウイルスの検査方法「糖鎖固定化磁性金ナノ粒子(SMGNP)法」を開発している。同検査法は検体の前処理工程を3分程度で完了するため、新開発するPCR検査装置との併用で従来法から大幅に検査時間を短縮できる。また、一度に8検体の検査が可能な小型の装置に仕上げ、個人の開業医院での運用を同時に提案していく。装置は渋谷工業が製造し、国内販売はスディックスバイオテック、海外販売は渋谷工業が行う。写真は握手する毛利克己渋谷工業専務(左)と隅田泰生スディックスバイオテック社長 =2020(令和2)年9月7日撮影、撮影場所不明、クレジット:日刊工業新聞/共同通信イメージズ
