    Funeral of Palestinian shot by Israeli forces in eastern Gaza

    August 25, 2012, Jabalia, Gaza Strip, Palestine: Gaza, Palestine. 25 August 2021. The final farewell is given to Osama Khaled Duaij, 32, in the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip. Osama died on Wednesday after succumbing to his wounds at the Al-Shifa hospital, where he was taken after being shot by Israeli soldiers during a demonstration east of Gaza City. At the funeral Duaij‘s body was wrapped in a Hamas flag, while members of the Izz al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamasââ¬â¢s military wing, wearing military fatigues attended the funeral to pay tribute to their comrade. At least 41 Palestinians were shot and injured during a demonstration in the Gaza Strip on 21 August to commemorate the 52nd anniversary of the 1969 arson attack on the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
