Osama died on Wednesday after succumbing to his wounds at the Al-Shifa hospital, where he was taken after being shot by Israeli soldiers during a demonstration east of Gaza City. At the funeral Duaij‘s body was wrapped in a Hamas flag, while members of the Izz al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamasââ¬â¢s military wing, wearing military fatigues attended the funeral to pay tribute to their comrade. At least 41 Palestinians were shot and injured during a demonstration in the Gaza Strip on 21 August to commemorate the 52nd anniversary of the 1969 arson attack on the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
