The house looks like a mosque with a minaret, but was built by Friedrich Wilhelm IV by master builder Ludwig Persius in Moorish style for a steam engine that pumped water from the Havel for water games and fountains from Sanssouci to the ruins. The building, administered by the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg, can be visited, but is currently closed due to the Corona Pandemic.
