2020年04月08日Cherry blossoms in Potsdam08 April 2020, Brandenburg, Potsdam: A cherry blossom tree grows near the tower of the steam engine house on the Neustadt Havel Bay. The house looks like a mosque with a minaret, but was built by Friedrich Wilhelm IV by master builder Ludwig Persius in Moorish style for a steam engine that pumped water from the Havel for water games and fountains from Sanssouci to the ruins. The building, administered by the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg, can be visited, but is currently closed due to the Corona Pandemic. 2020年09月18日Church of the Saviour of Sacrow18 September 2020, Berlin: The Sacrow Church, also known as the Church of the Saviour at the Port of Sacrow, on the banks of the Havel on the Jungfernsee. The church, which is exceptional for its location and style, was built in 1844. Frederick William IV wanted a church in Italian style with a free-standing bell tower (Campanile). It was built by his architect Ludwig Persius according to sketches by the king. Since 1961 it was located in the area of the Berlin Wall and suffered considerable damage during this time. After the political turnaround it was restored in the 1990s. Photo: Jens Kalaene/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB、クレジット:ZB/DPA/共同通信イメージズ
