    June 12, 2021, Tanauan, Batangas, Philippines: Freshwater Taal Lake turns green, prompting the DENR‘s Protected Area Management Office Taal Volcano Protected Landscape in an announcement that the discoloration is caused by ‘‘algal bloom‘‘ a natural phenomenon occurring at the shores of Lipa, Cuenca, Agoncillo, Balete, Laurel , Mataas na Kahoy and Tanauan, in the province of Batangas, Philippines, 9 June 2021.
