2020年06月02日Orchids are counted in the Lower Oder Valley National Park02 June 2020, Brandenburg, Stützkow: Rangers of the Brandenburg nature guard stand in front of flowering orchids of the species Helm-Knabenkraut (Orchis militaris) on the Galow mountains in the Lower Oder Valley National Park. At the moment the orchids are being counted on the meadows in the national park to supplement a statistic that has been kept for several years. So far three species of orchids have been found in the Lower Oder Valley National Park, which was established in 1995 as the twelfth national park in Germany. It covers about 10,500 hectares. The Oder Valley is one of the last near-natural river floodplain landscapes in western Central Europe with a large number of endangered animal and plant species. Every year it attracts hikers, cyclists and nature lovers to the unspoilt landscape on the German-Polish border in the north-east of Brandenburg.
