2020年05月26日Bark beetle wood is transported away26 May 2020, Saxony, Pockau-Lengefeld: Several timber transporters load logs onto a freight train. The first train load of wood damaged by the bark beetle left Pockau-Lengefeld station on the same day. The train transports 1,500 cubic metres of damaged timber to a sawmill in Bavaria. The means of transport was chosen to remove large quantities of infested wood from the affected forests as quickly as possible. Last year alone, bark beetles in Saxony left over two million cubic metres of damaged wood on several thousand hectares of forest. In addition, there is also damage caused by storms and snow breakage. (Aerial view with a drone) Photo: Jan Woitas/dpa-Zentralbild/dpa、クレジット:DPA/共同通信イメージズ
