Taxi drivers demonstrate against transport regulations at BER

14 October 2020, Berlin: There are numerous taxis at the Rotes Rathaus. There, hundreds of taxi drivers protested against the future traffic regulations at the new Capital Airport BER. Initially, only 300 Berlin colleagues will be able to obtain permission to take passengers at BER - just as only 300 drivers from the Dahme-Spreewald district are allowed to do, this is the compromise after a long dispute between Berlin and the district. But there are more than 7000 taxis in Berlin. Dispute over catalogue of fines

17 September 2020, Saxony, Dresden: There‘s a flash from a traffic monitoring system in the downtown area. On Friday, the Bundesrat is to deal again with changes to the road traffic regulations (StVO). The issue is that since the end of April, driving licences have been threatened with revocation if one drives 21 km/h too fast in town or 26 km/h outside towns. Previously the thresholds were higher. However, the regulation was suspended due to a discovered formal error. Photo: Robert Michael/dpa-Zentralbild/dpa、クレジット:DPA/共同通信イメージズ

Coalition quarrel about catalogue of fines

02 September 2020, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Freiburg: A car drives past a stationary device for speed monitoring, colloquially called a speed camera. The Ministers of the Interior and Transportation of the federal states disagree in the debate on the amendment of the road traffic regulations. The Greens demand the already agreed upon list of fines back, CDU and SPD are campaigning for a compromise.

Changes to the list of fines

18 August 2020, Lower Saxony, Hanover: A combined device for red light and speed measurement is located at Hildesheimer Strasse. On August 20, the federal government and the states will continue their negotiations on the road traffic regulations and harsher penalties for speeders. These are amendments to the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) and the catalogue of fines passed by the Bundesrat, which, among other things, provide for a one-month driving ban even if the number of speeding violations is significantly lower than before. Timber transport

23 July 2020, Saxony-Anhalt, Wernigerode: A timber transporter drives through the Harz Mountains with long logs. In the last few weeks many controls were carried out in the Harz region. Many drivers violated the road traffic regulations, the driving personnel law and the road traffic licensing regulations. In addition, the truck drivers drove much too fast. If the new catalogue had not been overridden at the moment, it could have ended badly for the drivers. Photo: Peter Gercke/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB、クレジット:ZB/DPA/共同通信イメージズ
