「新華社」８種類の有害ガス発生を克服、大臨鉄道の紅豆山トンネル貫通雲南省臨滄市

中国雲南省の大理市と臨滄（りんそう）市を結ぶ大臨鉄道建設で、８種類の有毒・有害ガスが発生する危険度の高い工事となった紅豆山トンネルが９日、無事貫通した。これは多種の有毒・有害ガスが発生する場所でのトンネル掘削工事の難題を克服した中国で初、世界でもまれなケースであり、同鉄道の早期開通に向けて確かな基礎が築かれた。同トンネルは臨滄市内にあり、全長１万６１６メートル。瀾滄江（らんそうこう）に隣接し、山々に囲まれた極めて複雑な地理的条件に加え、さまざまな有毒・有害ガスが発生する、地中温度が高いなどの課題を抱える難工事だった。中国中鉄傘下の中鉄十局集団大臨鉄道プロジェクト部の全斐（ぜん・ひ）副チーフエンジニアによると、このトンネルで有害なガスの種類が最も多く、濃度が最も高く、最もハイリスクな有毒・有害ガス最高度危険区域は長さ４２１０メートル、高度危険区域は３６３０メートルと、高度以上の危険区域がトンネルの全長の７３・８％を占めているという。紅豆山トンネル工事は２０１６年５月に着工したが、翌年６月にトンネル内で硫化水素や二酸化炭素など８種類の有害ガスが発生したため、トンネル内での作業には防毒マスクの着用が必要となった。大臨鉄道は全長約２０２キロで、北端の大理駅から瀾滄江を渡り、無量山脈を越えて臨滄市に至る。設計時速は１６０キロで、国家１級の貨客共用電化路線となる。同鉄道の開通は、臨滄市の鉄道未開通の歴史に終止符を打ち、同省中部と西部の地域交通の利用環境を効果的に改善し、中国と近隣諸国との相互接続をさらに促進すると見込まれる。（記者／王安浩維、厳勇）＜映像内容＞大臨鉄道の紅豆山トンネル工事の様子、撮影日：２０２０（令和２）年７月９日、クレジット：新華社／共同通信イメージズ
