Enkac(東京都千代田区)が開発した遠隔サービスロボットが、新型肺炎の感染防止対策で関心を集めている。医師や看護師にまで感染が拡大する中、医療機関の安全・衛生対策が課題として浮上。「患者の検診などに使えないかという問い合わせが数多く来ている」(星野社長)。今後、レンタルも含め、医療機関での採用を働きかける。同ロボットはデジタルサイネージ(電子看板)とカメラ、無線機器、スピーカー、マイクなどで構成。ホテルのフロント受付や空港・大規模施設の案内など、離れた場所から人に接客や情報案内などのサービスができる。会社の会議室利用などを想定した据え置き型、受付やインフォメーションセンター向けの振り向き型、時間や客の増減に合わせ巡回ができる移動型の3種類をそろえる。価格はタイプにより異なる。当初は人手不足に悩むホテルや観光施設の案内需要をにらんでいた。だが、新型肺炎の感染拡大で新たなニーズが発生。遠隔操作で患者と対話することができれば感染防止になるため、病院や薬局などでメリットは大きい。ロボットの生産は外部委託だが「月数十台なら対応可能」(同)という。=2020(令和2)年2月18日、撮影場所不明、クレジット:日刊工業新聞/共同通信イメージズ

香港鉄路(MTR)を運営する香港鉄路公司(MTRC)は12月5日夜、資産管理と保守点検の制度を全面的に見直すと発表した。この1カ月で列車の脱線と車両の故障が連続して起きたため。2度の事故を受け、関係者からは保守点検体制を問題視する声が上がっている。MTRCの労組は、技術者の不足が深刻で、外部委託する作業の比重が増していると主張しており、人手不足で保守点検の質が低下している恐れがある。MTRでは、11月13日に油麻地駅で列車が脱線。12月5日には将軍澳線で車両が故障して緊急停止する事故が起きた。ともに大きな人的被害は出ていないが、油麻地駅の事故は朝の発生からセン湾線(セン=くさかんむりに全)の一部区間が終日運行を見合わせた。将軍澳線の車両故障はラッシュ時の午前8時半に発生。同路線の一部区間が正午過ぎまで不通となり、多くの市民の通勤が妨げられた。MTRCは5日の時点で会見を開き、故障したのは車両の連結部分で、故障により安全装置が作動して緊急停止したと説明した。故障した車両は車両基地で詳細な点検を実施。同じ型番の車両についても、故障部分の部品の点検を行うとしている=2022(令和4)年12月6日、香港・銅鑼湾、クレジット:NNA/共同通信イメージズ
