    「新華社」契約審査で人とAIが対決中国初の競技会、杭州市で開催

    中国浙江省杭州市で4日、浙江大学光華法学院と電子商取引(EC)大手アリババグループ傘下の先端科学技術研究機関「達摩院(DAMOアカデミー)」語言技術研究所、浙江大学コンピューター科学・技術学院が共催する「法律人工知能(AI)チャレンジ」が開催された。人と機械が契約審査で技能を競う大会は中国でも初めてだという。主催側によると、今回は契約書の確認に焦点を当てた。国内著名法律事務所の弁護士4人が浙江大学の法律専攻の学生12人を率い、人間チーム(A、B)、機械チーム(C)、人間・機械合同チーム(D、E)の5チームに分かれ参加した。競技は3陣営の5チームが平均100行の不動産賃貸契約書5件を30分以内に審査し、リスクとなる点を指摘する方式で実施。契約書には審査員が事前に35のリスクポイントを設けていた。結果は、人と機械合同のD、Eチームが指摘した問題点が最も多く、それぞれ1位と2位になった。Dチームのリーダーを務めた汪凌萍(おう・りょうへい)弁護士は「AIが最初にチェックをし、判断が難しい部分を人が処理した。両者の共同作業は契約審査など法務業務の大幅な効率アップにつながる」と語った。<映像内容>人とAIが契約審査で対決する「法律人工知能(AI)チャレンジ」の様子、撮影日:2020(令和2)年12月4日、クレジット:新華社/共同通信イメージズ

    地震想定、病院揺らし実験 機器転倒で医療継続困難

    阪大、香味醗酵の匂い分析に必要な試料を調整する研究者

    大阪大学産業科学研究所と香味醗酵(大阪市西区)は、食品などの複雑なにおいを発する物質がヒトのどの嗅覚受容体に働きかけるかを15分以内に解析し、数値化する測定法を開発した。においの精緻な再現や、医療分野への応用が期待できる。同技術を用いて、約3000ある食品添加物のうち数百のにおい情報を2021年度中にデータベース化する。鼻の奥にある粘膜に、におい分子が溶け込み、嗅覚受容体のいずれかが反応することでヒトはにおいを感じる。例えばビールには数百のにおい成分があるが、うち数種類が複雑に作用してヒトの受容体に働きかける。従来のセンサーでは測定できるにおいの種類が限られるほか、においの変化の測定が困難だった。開発した測定法は1枚のスライド上にヒトの持つ400の嗅覚受容体全てを再現してにおいセンサーに見立て、受容体が放つ蛍光強度の変化を人工知能(AI)で画像解析する。光り方を分析することで、においによる受容体の反応の変化を捉えられる。スライドは大量生産が可能という。香味醗酵取締役で阪大産業科学研究所の黒田俊一教授は「においの経時変化まで捉えられる画期的な技術だ」と強調する。物質のどの成分が受容体へ働きかけるかなど、より詳細な分析は大阪産業技術研究所(大阪技術研)に協力を依頼する。香味醗酵は阪大発ベンチャー。においのデータベース化は科学技術振興機構(JST)の研究支援プログラムA―STEPに採択され、「AI調香師」として事業化を目指す。久保社長は「においが数値化できれば、世の中のあらゆるにおいを作り出すことができる」と応用に期待する。=2020(令和2)年11月16日、阪大内の香味醗酵R&Dセンター、クレジット:日刊工業新聞/共同通信イメージズ

    防災科学技術研究所と一条工務店が行った「耐水害」実物大実験

    防災科学技術研究所と一条工務店(東京都江東区)は13日、同研究所の大型降雨実験施設(茨城県つくば市)で、水位3メートルの浸水状態を再現した実物大の「耐水害住宅」の実験を公開した。大型貯水槽に木造2階建ての一般住宅と耐水害住宅を設置。耐水害住宅の方は水位3メートルでも室内は浸水せず、住宅が浮力で浮いても流されない対策も確認した。浸水対策について、両社はパッキンやサッシの工夫などで窓やドアからの浸水を防ぐことを2019年の実験で確認済み。今回は再検証するとともに、住宅をあえて浮力で浮かせて水没を防ぎつつ、住宅4角に取り付けたワイヤ(係留装置)で、浮いた住宅が流されないことを確認した。注水により水深が3mに達した状態。建物自体が浮上している。=2020(令和2)年10月13日、茨城県つくば市の防災科学技術研究所、クレジット:日刊工業新聞/共同通信イメージズ

    大阪産業技術研究所が開発したリチウムイオン電池用固体電解質シート

    大阪産業技術研究所(ORIST)は、厚みが30マイクロメートル(マイクロは100万分の1)以下と薄膜ながら強度を備えた自立型のリチウムイオン電池用固体電解質シートを開発した。量産技術もめどをつけた。従来の固体電解質に比べ厚みが10分の1以下で、電気抵抗が小さいのが特徴。電極とともに積み重ねられ、大容量、高出力の全固体電池の実用化へ応用が期待される。全固体電池は電気自動車(EV)やIoT(モノのインターネット)機器への搭載に向け電極の開発が進む一方、正・負極間の電解質の厚みが大容量化の課題となっている。同研究所は、微細な貫通孔を持つ樹脂フィルムに電解質粉末を充填することで、強度を保ちつつ電解質の薄膜化に成功。電気抵抗を抑えられるほか、高度な充放電特性を備えることも確認された。今後、リチウムイオン電池材料評価研究センター(リブテック、大阪府池田市)が開発を進める電極と共に性能検証を進める。同シートはベースとなる樹脂フィルムに、感光材料を利用しパターンを生成するリソグラフィ技術で微細な孔を開け、硫化物系の固体電解質粉末を充填させ、加熱・加圧処理を施して作製する。同研究所は8センチメートル角のシート作製に成功したが、製造装置次第で大面積化できるという。全固体電池は実用化へ向け開発が加速。国内では村田製作所が2020年度下期中に酸化物系全固体電池の量産を開始し、トヨタ自動車が京都大学とフッ化物イオン電池の開発に乗り出している。大阪産業技術研究所は従来着目されてこなかった電解層の薄膜化により、全固体電池の大型化へ道を開いた。同シートは新エネルギー・産業技術総合開発機構(NEDO)が支援する「先進・革新蓄電池材料評価技術開発」第2期事業の一環で開発した。=2020(令和2)年10月6日、撮影場所不明、クレジット:日刊工業新聞/共同通信イメージズ
