    建設機械用フィルターメーカーのヤマシンフィルタが、環境負荷の低減を狙い開発したのが、素材にガラス繊維とナノファイバーを使った「ハイブリッドフィルタ」だ。同社従来品に比べ3倍の長寿命を実現。廃棄物の排出が3分の1になり、環境への悪影響を抑えられる。オプションとしてセンサー類を組み合わせれば、故障予知サービスも提供可能だ。山崎敦彦社長は「顧客に価値を理解してもらい、早期に広めたい」と意気込む。従来の油圧フィルターはガラス繊維の濾材で、寿命は約1000時間だった。ハイブリッドフィルタはガラス繊維と200ナノ―800ナノメートル(ナノは10億分の1)の繊維を使ったナノファイバーシートを組み合わせており、寿命を約3000時間まで延ばした。新開発素材を使ったため価格は従来品の2倍超となったが、3倍以上の寿命と環境負荷の低減が評価され、大手建機メーカーに採用。1月から量産供給を始めている。さらに同社独自の付加価値となるのが、IoT(モノのインターネット)技術を使った故障予知サービスだ。オプションであるフィルターの目詰まりセンサー、フィルターを流れる油の清浄度センサーを組み合わせ、遠隔でフィルターの劣化具合を診断することが可能。「建機は山奥で無人稼働することもある。故障を予知できれば、コストや作業機会の損失を防ぐことができる」(山崎社長)。現在高シェアを持つ日本、米国、欧州市場だけでなく、シェアの低い中国市場でも戦略商品として拡販する。中国では2020年12月からディーゼルエンジンの排出ガス規制が強化される。それに対応する建機のモデルチェンジに合わせ、ハイブリッドフィルタを提案する方針だ。「中国の建機メーカーもコスト重視から品質重視になりつつある」と山崎社長。中国でのシェア拡大により、現在123億円のフィルター売上高を、22年3月期に250億円へと成長を目指す。=2019(令和元)年、6月6日、撮影場所不明、クレジット:日刊工業新聞/共同通信イメージズ
