A hiking trail leads to the dune from a small car park on the Bundesstraße 101 through pine forests via the former Soviet military training area Jüterbog. Because of possible ammunition, the paths in the nature park should not be left. A worthwhile lookout point is the rest area on the Wurzelberg.
