    国清寺の隋塔。隋塔は、晋王楊広(よう・こう、後の隋煬帝)が開皇18(598)年、智顗(ちぎ)から受けた菩薩戒に報いるため建立した報恩塔。(2019年1月22日撮影)中国浙江省台州市天台県城関鎮にある国清寺は、隋の開皇18(598)年に建立された。当初は「天台寺」と呼ばれていたが、後に「寺若成、国即清(寺成れば、国清からん)」にちなんで「国清寺」と改名された。隋代の高僧、智顗(ちぎ)が同寺で天台宗を創設したことから、同宗の発祥地とされる。同寺にはかつて、唐代の一行(いちぎょう)、寒山(かんざん)、拾得(じっとく)、宋代の済公(さいこう)、日本の真言宗開祖の空海、天台宗開祖の最澄など有名な高僧が多数滞在した。鑑真(がんじん)も訪日の際に同寺を参詣している。最澄は留学僧として天台山で道邃(どうすい)に教義を学び、帰国後に比叡山で延暦寺を建て、日本の天台宗を創始したが、その後も国清寺を祖庭として敬った。同寺の現存する建物は、清の雍正12(1734)年に勅命により改修されている。敷地面積は7万3千平方メートルで、隋塔(古塔)や豊干(ぶかん)橋、「隋代古刹」照壁、山門、弥勒殿、雨花殿(四天王殿)、大雄宝殿、妙法堂(2階は蔵経閣)などが残る。境内には天台宗五祖の手植えとされる梅の古木があり「隋梅」と呼ばれている。寺の周りにも摩崖(まがい)石刻、石碑、書簡、仏像、法器などの貴重な文化財が多数残されており、2006年に第5次全国重点文物保護単位(国宝・重要文化財に相当)に指定された。(台州=新華社配信/畢建鴿)= 配信日: 2021(令和3)年6月20日、クレジット:新華社/共同通信イメージズ

    国清寺の隋塔。隋塔は、晋王楊広(よう・こう、後の隋煬帝)が開皇18(598)年、智顗(ちぎ)から受けた菩薩戒に報いるため建立した報恩塔。(2019年1月22日撮影)中国浙江省台州市天台県城関鎮にある国清寺は、隋の開皇18(598)年に建立された。当初は「天台寺」と呼ばれていたが、後に「寺若成、国即清(寺成れば、国清からん)」にちなんで「国清寺」と改名された。隋代の高僧、智顗(ちぎ)が同寺で天台宗を創設したことから、同宗の発祥地とされる。同寺にはかつて、唐代の一行(いちぎょう)、寒山(かんざん)、拾得(じっとく)、宋代の済公(さいこう)、日本の真言宗開祖の空海、天台宗開祖の最澄など有名な高僧が多数滞在した。鑑真(がんじん)も訪日の際に同寺を参詣している。最澄は留学僧として天台山で道邃(どうすい)に教義を学び、帰国後に比叡山で延暦寺を建て、日本の天台宗を創始したが、その後も国清寺を祖庭として敬った。同寺の現存する建物は、清の雍正12(1734)年に勅命により改修されている。敷地面積は7万3千平方メートルで、隋塔(古塔)や豊干(ぶかん)橋、「隋代古刹」照壁、山門、弥勒殿、雨花殿(四天王殿)、大雄宝殿、妙法堂(2階は蔵経閣)などが残る。境内には天台宗五祖の手植えとされる梅の古木があり「隋梅」と呼ばれている。寺の周りにも摩崖(まがい)石刻、石碑、書簡、仏像、法器などの貴重な文化財が多数残されており、2006年に第5次全国重点文物保護単位(国宝・重要文化財に相当)に指定された。(台州=新華社配信/畢建鴿)= 配信日: 2021(令和3)年6月20日、クレジット:新華社/共同通信イメージズ
