    「死の灰」第五福竜丸にも ビキニ原爆実験を開始

    1946(昭和21)年7月1日、米国が太平洋のビキニ環礁で原爆実験を開始した(写真は同月25日の水中爆発)。周辺では46~58年に計67回の核実験を行い、54年3月1日に静岡県焼津市のマグロ漁船「第五福竜丸」が水爆実験の「死の灰」を浴び、乗組員23人が被ばく。ロンゲラップ環礁の住民も深刻な健康被害を受けた。
