One of the many restaurants in Semporna where we can test the delicioasa Malaysian food. In early 1890s; the population was about 200 Tawau comprising mainly immigrants and Tawi-Tawi Bulungan who had fled from Dutch rule in Kalimantan; Borneo. This little village remained trade with the Dutch. In the February 9; 1893; the recipient S. ‘‘Normanhurst‘‘ sailed in Tawau (or Tawa as it was then known) for the first time with a full charge Dammar; of gutta-percha; India rubber; shell; and ivory to barter for the Broken; raisins; nests of birds and rubber.
