Hydra viridis, Print, Hydra viridissima is a species of Cnidaria which are commonly found in freshwater, mostly ponds, rivers, and slow flowing parts of streams and rivers (because they are sessile they cannot be in fast current water) in the Northern temperate zone. They are also known as Hydra viridis and Chlorohydra viridissima. Green hydra are typically 10mm longs, and they have tentacles that are about half of their length. They feed on small crustaceans and are strictly carnivorous.Typically they feed on small crustaceans, insects and annelids. Hydra viridissima is often known as the Green hydra, the species appears green because of the symbiotic relationship with Chlorella vulgaris, which is a green algaa that lives on the organism. Hydra are normally sessile and live on aquatic vegetation they secrete mucous to attach using their basal disc.、クレジット:Album/quintlox/共同通信イメージズ ※エディトリアル使用のみ。

    Amphiprion percula, Print,

Amphiprion percula, Print, The orange clownfish (Amphiprion percula) also known as percula clownfish and clown anemonefish, is widely known as a popular aquarium fish. Like other clownfishes (also known as anemonefishes), it often lives in association with sea anemones. A. percula is associated specifically with Heteractis magnifica and Stichodactyla gigantea, and as larvae use chemical cues released from the anemones to identify and locate the appropriate host species to use them for shelter and protection. This causes preferential selection when finding their anemone host species. Although popular, maintaining this species in captivity is rather complex. The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority regulates the number of collection permits issued to aquarium fish dealers who seek this, and other tropical fish within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. March 13, 2022, JEONJU, JEONBUK, SOUTH KOREA: March 13, 2022-Jeonju, South Korea-Hanji a traditional Korean paper seen at manufacture factory in Jeonju, South Korea. Hanji or Korean paper is the name of traditional handmade paper from Korea. Hanji is made from the inner bark of Broussonetia papyrifera known colloquially as paper mulberry, a tree native to Korea that grows well on its rocky mountainsides, known in Korean as dak. The formation aid crucial to making hanji is the mucilage that oozes from the roots of Hibiscus manihot. This substance helps suspend the individual fibers in water. Traditional hanji is made in laminated sheets using the we bal method (a sheet formation technique), which allows for multi-directional grain[3] The process of creating hanji also employs dochim, a method of pounding finished sheets to compact fibers and lessen ink bleed. Hanji paper is famous across Asia for its white color and extreme durability, and was a high import to China in tribute missions. (Credit Image: © Ry...

The naturally-occurring mucilage was first documented in Turkey in 2007, when it was also seen in parts of the Aegean Sea near Greece. But this outbreak is the largest on record, blamed by experts on a combination of pollution and global warming, which speeds up the growth of algae responsible for the slimy sludge. Sea saliva (mucilage) in Istanbul, Turkey - 04 Jun 2021

June 4, 2021, Istanbul, pendik, Turkey: Sea saliva (mucilage) covers surface of the Marmara Sea, coast of Istanbul..Mucilage, which was observed intensively on the water in the Sea of Marmara since 2007, is due to the excessive increase in the sea of single-celled plant microorganisms called ‘‘phytoplankton‘‘. In the Marmara Sea these single-celled microorganisms also multiply by taking advantage of the marine pollution caused by domestic and factory wastes and the changing water temperature level due to global climate change.
