Artemis 1: Unmanned Mission To The Moon

February 11, 2022 - Kennedy Space Center, Florida, USA - Teams recently added eight new Artemis logos to NASA‘s Crawler-Transporter 2. Artemis the twin sister of Apollo and goddess of the Moon is also the name of the NASA missions that will take humanity back to the Moon, paving the way for a long-term lunar presence and serving as a steppingstone to Mars. The massive crawler-transporter, based at NASA‘s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, soon will haul the Space Launch System rocket the largest ever built and the Orion spacecraft to Launch Pad 39B for a mid-March wet dress rehearsal ahead of the Artemis I launch. Artemis I will be the first integrated test of NASA‘s deep space exploration systems: the Orion spacecraft, Space Launch System rocket, and the ground systems at Kennedy.
