    海の上〝飛ぶ〞高速船就航 25年ぶり建造、離島路線で

    海水を噴き出して進む高速旅客船「ジェットフォイル」が13日、東京都や静岡県と伊豆諸島を結ぶ路線で就航した。運航する東海汽船(東京)が鉄道建設・運輸施設整備支援機構と共同で川崎重工業に発注し、6月末に完成した。ジェットフォイルの新規建造は25年ぶり。 船体の前後から垂直に伸びる三つの水中翼が海水を吸い込み、ガスタービンの力で後方に噴射する仕組み。全長27・4㍍、総トン数176㌧の船体が浮き上がって最高時速80㌔で進み、海面の上を飛んでいるように見える。 12日に役目を終えた「セブンアイランド虹」の後継船で「セブンアイランド結」と名付けられた。定員は241人。バリアフリーに対応し、多目的トイレなどを整備。クジラとの衝突などに備え、座席下部にスプリングを入れて乗客の安全性を高めた。 船体の基調である藍色は、東京五輪の大会エンブレムを手掛けた美術家の野老朝雄氏が選び、命名も担当した。 <映像内容>東京・竹芝客船ターミナル、船に乗り込む乗客ら、船が桟橋を離れ出航する様子=以上が東京・竹芝周辺、海面を飛ぶように走行する様子、撮影日:2020(令和2)年7月13日、撮影場所:東京都大田区
