WEB不可1945年12月12日Bat radar-guided bomb, 1945Bat radar-guided bomb (centre) mounted beneath the wing of a PB4Y Privateer bomber. Developed by the US Navy, this bomb was designed to glide on its fixed wings after release, using a radar homing device to locate and track its target. A controllable tail elevator (at rear of the missile) was used by the onboard autopilot system to steer towards the target. The Bat missile, the first fully automatic guided missile, entered service in April 1945, and was successfully used to sink several Japanese ships. The incident comes following several other smashes involving Teslas while in the driver-assisted autopilot mode, including a fatal incident in March this year and another in 2016. The latest wreck happened in Laguna Beach on Tuesday (29 May) at around 11am when a $75,000 Tesla Model S collided with a parked police SUV. A Palm Harbor man, 43, was driving the car and speeding on Manning Road when he missed the stop sign on the T-intersection, law enforcement officials said. The Tesla, officials said, then hit a curb, lost control and struck the back of the house killing a 69-year-old woman who lived there. The Tesla was not reported to be on autopilot, officials said. An Odessa man, 43, who was a passenger in the car, later died of injuries from the crash at a nearby hospital. The driver and two other passengers were seriously injured.
