2024年07月18日（２１）古木の中にたたずむ千年の古刹北京・戒台寺清の軍機大臣を務めた袁世凱（えん・せいがい）が揮毫（きごう）した戒台殿の扁額（へんがく）「選仏場」。（５月５日撮影）中国北京市門頭溝区の馬鞍山麓に位置する戒台寺は隋の開皇年間（５８１～６００年）に建立され、１４００年以上の歴史を持つ。かつては慧聚寺と称し、明の英宗帝に万寿禅寺と名付けられた。中国最大の戒壇があることから戒壇寺、戒台寺とも呼ばれる。同寺は東向きで、中軸線に沿って山門殿、鐘楼と鼓楼、天王殿、大雄宝殿、千仏閣跡、観音殿、戒台殿が並ぶ。中でも戒台殿が中心的な建物となっている。１０６９（遼・咸雍５）年に建立された戒壇は遼代の仏塔や経幢（きょうどう、経文を刻んだ柱）、戒壇など仏教の宝物を保存しており、歴史的な重要性から「天下第一壇」とたたえられる。境内には名高い古松をはじめ古木、名木が多い。同寺は１９５７年に北京市の文物保護単位（重要文化財）、９６年に全国重点文物保護単位（国宝・重要文化財）に指定されている。（北京＝新華社記者／藍建中）＝ 配信日： ２０２４（令和６）年７月１８日、クレジット：新華社／共同通信イメージズ
