本画像はログイン後にご覧いただけます 2018年06月05日朝日高校柔道場国の登録有形文化財で今も使われている朝日高の柔道場。朝日高(岡山市中区古京町)のグラウンドの一画。れんがの基礎の上に築かれた平屋の木造建物は、飾り気のない板張りが力強さを感じさせる。1世紀の歴史を持つ文化財ながら、今も現役の同高柔道場(約240平方メートル)だ。1919(大正8)年、旧制第六高等学校(六高、岡山大の前身)の柔道場として設けられ、50年代前半に六高跡へ移転した朝日高に引き継がれた。もともとの瓦ぶきから、鋼板製に変わった屋根を除き、骨組みや内外装の壁板は建築当時のまま。2011年、国の登録有形文化財に指定され、来年には築100年の節目を迎える。=2018(平成30)年6月5日、岡山市中区古京町、クレジット:山陽新聞/共同通信イメージズ
