中国遼寧省南部の遼東湾で野生ゴマフアザラシの幼獣１００頭密漁事件が、広く社会の関心を集めている。現在、保護されたゴマフアザラシの幼獣のうち生存している６２頭は、現地の農業農村部水生野生動物救護ネットワークに属する３機関に分けて移送・保護されており、今後は放獣条件に適合したものは全て海に返す予定になっている。大連警察当局が１１日に野生ゴマフアザラシ大型密漁事件を摘発した際、発見した１００頭のゴマフアザラシの幼獣のうち２９頭はすでに死んでいた。さらに９頭が極度のショックと栄養不良のために死んだ。現在、保護され生存している６２頭は大連老虎灘極地館、大連聖亜海洋世界、遼寧省海洋水産科学研究院の３カ所に分けて移送された。専門家の指導を受けた獣医や飼育員が全力でケアに当たっている。鹿氏は、現在のところ保護されている幼獣の健康状態は安定しつつあるという。ゴマフアザラシは世界中に分布している海洋生物で、中国の海域で繁殖する唯一の鰭脚類（ききゃくるい）として国家２級保護動物に指定されている。近年、各地の水族館で海洋動物の需要が高まる中、一部の犯罪者による商業目的の、「盗み、飼い、供給し、売る」を一体化したゴマフアザラシ・ブラック産業チェーンが形成されている。今後は病原菌の検査や専門家で編成されたチームによる総合的評価を行い、ゴマフアザラシの幼獣それぞれの回復状況を見て、３月から５月にかけて放獣する予定だという。（記者／姜兆臣）＜映像内容＞密猟者から保護されたゴマフアザラシの様子、撮影日：撮影日不明、クレジット：新華社／共同通信イメージズ
