Pyramid building in the 21st century

15 April 2021, Brandenburg, Branitz: Employees of the Fürst-Pückler-Museum Park and Branitz Castle Foundation work on the steps of the historic land pyramid in Branitz Park in Cottbus (aerial photograph taken with a drone). The land pyramid in Branitz Park is currently holding back its historic earth steps on all four sides. With this challenging work, the park gardeners are creating a very special gift contribution to this year‘s 175th anniversary of the Branitz park landscape from their own resources. At the end of April 2021, the work consisting of earth modelling and laying of rolled turf is to be completely finished. The land pyramid as one of the landmarks of the Pyramid Plain was intended by Prince Pückler as a burial place for his divorced wife and partner Lucie. Preparation for general inspection of Total refinery Leuna

14 April 2021, Saxony-Anhalt, Leuna: Above the TOTAL refinery in Leuna, the scaffolded plants and columns stand out against the evening sky. Preparations are currently underway at one of Europe‘s most modern refineries for a general inspection lasting several weeks, which is scheduled to begin in early May. The scheduled general maintenance with complete shutdown of the refinery, which belongs to the French oil company “Total“, was supposed to take place last year, but had to be postponed because of the first Corona wave. Total expects about 5000 additional workers from all over Europe for the work. Photo: Waltraud Grubitzsch/dpa-Zentralbild、クレジット:ZB/DPA/共同通信イメージズ
