Nest building for the white stork

07 May 2021, Brandenburg, Trebus: From a lifting platform, Daniel Kubelt (below) from the company DMS Schälicke and Achim Krüger, friend of the Winkler family, erect a nest for the white stork on the top of a blossoming pear tree (aerial view with a drone). The client is a taxidermist from Trebus, who has been observing storks in his village looking for a suitable nesting site for years. Now he hopes that already next year a stork family will accept the nesting place on the pear tree. Photo: Patrick Pleul/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB、クレジット:ZB/DPA/共同通信イメージズ

Pyramid building in the 21st century

15 April 2021, Brandenburg, Branitz: Employees of the Fürst-Pückler-Museum Park and Branitz Castle Foundation work on the steps of the historic land pyramid in Branitz Park in Cottbus (aerial photograph taken with a drone). The land pyramid in Branitz Park is currently holding back its historic earth steps on all four sides. With this challenging work, the park gardeners are creating a very special gift contribution to this year‘s 175th anniversary of the Branitz park landscape from their own resources. At the end of April 2021, the work consisting of earth modelling and laying of rolled turf is to be completely finished. The land pyramid as one of the landmarks of the Pyramid Plain was intended by Prince Pückler as a burial place for his divorced wife and partner Lucie.
