インドネシア気象気候地球物理庁（ＢＭＫＧ）と中国の成都高新減災研究所によるインドネシア地震早期警報システムの共同構築始動式が１５日、インドネシアの首都ジャカルタで開催された。同研究所が開発した地震早期警報システムの共同構築が完成すると、インドネシアは地震早期警報能力を持つ世界で６番目の国となる。同庁長官のドゥイコリタ・カルナワティ氏は始動式で、同システムは地震発生後数秒以内に震度などのデータを記録すると同時に、速やかに早期警報情報を発信すると説明。影響を受ける地域は事前に早期警報を受けて予防措置を取れるという。また、両機関が地震研究や早期警報の活用などで協力をより一層強化し、地震早期警報技術の減災効果を向上させることに期待を示した。同研究所所長の王暾（おう・とん）氏は、インドネシアはネパールに次いで、中国の地震早期警報技術を導入する「一帯一路」参加国であると指摘。今後、より多くの国が中国の地震早期警報技術を採用するよう推進するとともに、共に全世界の地震早期警報事業の進歩を促進していくと語った。（記者／宗萍萍）＜映像内容＞中国が参加するインドネシア地震早期警報システムの共同構築始動式の様子、撮影日：２０１９（令和元）年８月１５日、クレジット：新華社／共同通信イメージズ
