  「新華社」先史時代の大型ヘビの骨を発見広西チワン族自治区

  中国科学院などの研究者はこのほど、国際的学術誌「ヒストリカル・バイオロジー」に、広西チワン族自治区の左江流域で発見した先史時代の大型ヘビ類に関する研究成果を発表した。広西文物保護・考古研究所の楊清平（よう・せいへい）氏率いるチームは２０１３～１５年、左江流域で実施した調査で新石器時代の貝塚を多数発見。約６千年前の宝剣山遺跡と大湾遺跡から出土したヘビの骨に対する形態学的研究では、これらが現生種のビルマニシキヘビ、キングコブラ、ツマベニナメラの３種類であることを突き止めた。うち、最も大きいビルマニシキヘビの脊椎骨は、現生種標本を使った分析の結果、個体全長が少なくとも４・５８メートルと、中国の動物図鑑「中国動物誌」に記載される国内最大記録の３・５６メートルを上回ることが分かった。楊氏は、出土したヘビの骨の表面のほとんどに焼かれた形跡があり、出土地点に堆積していたその他の哺乳類の骨には人工的に切断または砕かれた跡が見られたと説明。骨は人が捕食した残りと思われ、先史時代の人々がこの場所で肉を焼いて処理していた可能性は排除できないと語った。左江は同自治区南西部の主要河川で、動植物資源に富み、複雑で多様な地形を持つ。貝塚や岩絵など独特の文化遺構があることでも知られ、中でも左江花山の岩絵文化景観は、岩絵類で中国初の世界文化遺産に登録された。今回の発見は、新石器時代の動物考古学に新たな視点をもたらしたほか、当時の中国南部の人々の生活状況を明らかにした。（記者／梁舜、黄凱瑩） ＝配信日： ２０２３（令和５）年４月５日、クレジット：新華社／共同通信イメージズ

  「新華社」中国生花産業、物流で新たな可能性を切り開く
