    「DPA」 Bike tour along the former border 18 June 2019, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Rüterberg: Around 30 cyclists, including schoolchildren from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, cycle along the former inner-German border on the former Kolonnenweg in the village republic of Rüterberg during their week-long tour. From Wittenberge (Brandenburg) the route takes about 170 kilometres in five days to Lübeck. The trip is organised by the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Commissioner for the Reconciliation of the SED Dictatorship. At memorial sites along the route, participants and day visitors want to talk to contemporary witnesses and experts, commemorate border victims, visit museums and deepen their knowledge of the GDR.
