    「新華社」長江で発見の「怪魚」、近絶滅種オオサンショウウオと判明

    中国重慶市南岸区でこのほど、同市を流れる長江の銅元局区間で「怪魚」が浅瀬に取り残されているという市民の通報があった。同区関係部門の担当者がすぐに現場に赴き確認、鑑定の結果、「怪魚」は野生のオオサンショウウオであることがわかった。オオサンショウウオは希少種として知られる。見つかった個体はすでに重慶動物園に運ばれ、手当てを受けている。同園の野生動物救助担当者によると、体調が回復し次第自然に帰すという。オオサンショウウオは長い歴史を持つ両生類動物で、3億6千万年前の古生代デボン紀に起きた魚類の進化によって生まれたとされる。鳴き声が子どもの泣き声に似ていることから中国では俗に「娃娃魚(ワーワーユー)」と呼ばれる。国際自然保護連合(IUCN)のレッドリストでは近絶滅種に分類され、中国では国家2級重点保護野生動物に指定されている。(記者/劉恩黎) =配信日: 2024(令和6)年3月16日、クレジット:新華社/共同通信イメージズ
