04 February 2020, Saxony, Chemnitz: Severe rust damage is evident on the basic frame of a historic Ikarus 180 series bus before it is transported to a body shop. The model of the Hungarian vehicle manufacturer drove in large numbers through Chemnitz in the 1960s and 1970s and shaped the cityscape. None of these vehicles has been preserved. Six years ago, Chemnitzer Verkehrs AG (CVAG) bought this basic structure in Berlin. With collected donations the reconstruction of the bodywork in Güstrow is now to be carried out. According to the Chemnitz Tram Museum, only three of the nearly 8000 vehicles built in Budapest exist worldwide. Photo: Jan Woitas/dpa-Zentralbild/dpa、クレジット:ZB/DPA/共同通信イメージズ
