09 March 2020, Berlin: Margot Friedl舅der speaks at the ceremonial unveiling of her portrait of honorary citizen in the Berlin House of Representatives. Margot Friedl舅der was already honoured with the honorary citizenship of the city of Berlin in 2018. Born in Berlin in 1921, the Jewish woman disappeared at the age of 21 and lived underground for 15 months. In April 1944 she was arrested and shortly afterwards deported to Theresienstadt. Her mother, her brother, most of her relatives and friends were murdered. After the war Friedl舅der emigrated to the USA.
