01 April 2020, Saxony, Leipzig: Scaffolding erectors have removed scaffolding from the first third of the new “Lipsia Tower“. The first post-reunification high-rise in Leipzig‘s GDR slab-building district of Grünau has room for 60 apartments on its 13 floors. The Lipsia housing cooperative is investing a good 13 million euros. The barrier-free project “Lipsia Tower“ is primarily aimed at older tenants. According to current plans, the first residents are expected to move in in July. The Saxon housing cooperatives will build 499 new apartments nationwide in 2020.
