June 6, 2020, Munich, Bavaria, Germany: Showing solidarity with the George Floyd protests and Black Lives Matter movement, approximately 30,000 assembled at Munich’s Koenigsplatz, as well as across Germany for Silent Protests to demonstrate against police brutality in the United States as well as in Germany. George Floyd was killed in Minneapolis by police which set off protests, unrest, and police actions throughout the United States and the world. The case has opened the dialogue regarding racist policing, defunding the police, Killogy’s Warrior Training, and police violence. Germany also has had numerous prominent cases of racial profiling, police brutality, and deaths of suspects in police custody, such as Oury Jalloh.
