La Mesa, California BLM Protest June 14, 2020, La Mesa, California, USA: La Mesa Police Department Chief WALT VASQUEZ, right, speaks to the media and event organizers at a Black Lives Matter protest at the city‘s civic center. Protesters gathered as part of a continuation of the Black Lives Matter movement against police brutality against African-Americans. Approximately 200 motorcycle riders arrived in a show of support. La Mesa became the protest flashpoint in San Diego County after one of the city‘s police officers used what many say was excessive force when detaining and arresting a black man at a trolley station. The incident was caught on video and that evidence led to all charges being dropped, including that of assault on a police officer. The officer involved in the incident has been suspended with pay during the investigation. (Credit Image: © David Barak/ZUMA Wire)、クレジット:©David Barak/ZUMA Wire/共同通信イメージズ 「ZUMA Press」
