30 July 2020, Venezuela, Caracas: A man with a face mask underneath is having his temperature measured at the entrance to the Iranian supermarket “Megasis“. The supermarket, which opened this week, is the first Iranian grocery store in Venezuela, where a ship carrying Iranian goods arrived in mid-June. Due to a lack of foreign exchange, Venezuela can hardly import food, medicine and everyday necessities. Imports are made more difficult by the US sanctions against the government of President Maduro. “Iran, as well as every country in the world, has a right to free trade,“ said Iran‘s ambassador to Caracas, Soltani, at the opening. Tehran had recently sent five tankers full of gasoline to Venezuela. Photo: Rafael Hernandez/dpa、クレジット:DPA/共同通信イメージズ
