06 October 2020, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Herbertingen: Two heavy-duty cranes lift a block weighing around 80 tons and measuring eight by six metres so that it can then be transported to the laboratories of the State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments. The block contains a large and elaborately designed chamber tomb dating from the sixth century BC - a burial chamber with an early Celtic ceremonial tomb. The first finds, including burial objects made of gold and amber, suggest that an important personality with rich furnishings was buried in the chamber, as stated in the press release of the Stuttgart Regional Council.
