05 June 2019, Berlin: The moderator Eva-Maria Lemke (r) presents Christina Lang-Winter, headmistress of the GGS Kettelerschule from Bonn (North Rhine-Westphalia), with one of the five additional prizes at the presentation of the German School Award 2019. Every year, a total of six schools are awarded the German School Prize. The best school of the year receives the main prize endowed with 100,000 euros. Five other schools will receive prizes of 25,000 euros each. A jury of experts evaluates six quality areas: Performance, dealing with diversity, teaching quality, responsibility, school life and school as a learning institution.
