「DPA」 Opening Ceremony of the Bauhaus Museum 08 September 2019, Saxony-Anhalt, Dessau-Ro゚lau: Claudia Perren (from left), Director of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation, Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU), Reiner Haseloff (CDU), Prime Minister of Saxony-Anhalt, and Peter Kuras (FDP), Lord Mayor of the City of Dessau-Rohlau, stand in front of the new Bauhaus Museum in Dessau. After a two-year construction period, the museum opens with a ceremony in the 100th anniversary year of the Bauhaus. The exhibition is entitled “Versuchsst舩te Bauhaus. The Collection“. Around 1000 exhibits will be on show, representing the special and worldwide influence of the legendary school of architecture, art and design. The new building for 28.5 million euros was built according to a design by Spanish architects. The Dessau Bauhaus collection is the second largest in the world.
